Mike Raab

Mike Raab is the Executive Director of The Garage at Northwestern University, based in Evanston, Illinois. Appointed to this executive position in October 2022 after serving as interim director, he oversees an innovation hub that engages over 3,000 students annually and has incubated more than 1,000 startups alongside a network of 500 mentors. Raab originally joined the university staff in 2019 as the founding director of The Garage SF, successfully expanding the institution's entrepreneurial footprint directly into Silicon Valley. Prior to his academic leadership roles, he worked as a principal at the venture capital firm Sinai Ventures, where he evaluated over 1,000 early-stage technology companies and mentored emerging founders. As a double degree alumnus of Northwestern University, his current professional focus remains centered on early-stage venture capital, startup incubation, and cultivating student-led innovation ecosystems.
