Mike Nicholls

Mike Nicholls is a Partner at Main Sequence Ventures in Australia, where he leads the firm's health and decarbonization investment challenges. He directs capital allocation across deep tech sectors, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy, recently supporting a $13 million Series A funding round for the startup Cauldron Ferm. Nicholls currently serves as a board director for multiple portfolio companies, including Swoop Aero, Amber Electric, and Endua, while acting as a mentor for the CSIRO ON Accelerator. Prior to his current venture capital career, he served as the Director of Invention Development at Intellectual Ventures and held chief executive positions at Enikos and Dtecht Pty Ltd. Drawing on his entrepreneurial background and a degree from the University of Technology Sydney, Nicholls focuses on scaling early-stage deep tech startups and mentoring emerging technology leaders.
