Mike McCormick

Mike McCormick is the Founder and CEO of Halcyon Futures, an early-stage investment firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before establishing the firm in October 2022, he spent five years as a Principal at GreatPoint Ventures, directing early-stage capital allocations across the healthcare, insuretech, fintech, and food technology sectors. McCormick previously served as a Principal at Comet Labs, focusing on artificial intelligence and robotics applications for enterprise markets, and co-founded the seed-stage firm Rubicon Venture Capital. His entrepreneurial career began during his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, where he co-founded two distinct businesses while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, philosophy, economics, and history. Today, his primary investment strategy centers on emerging technologies that address complex global challenges, maintaining a specific focus on biosecurity, artificial intelligence, and climate change solutions.
