Mike Dybbs

Mike Dybbs is a Partner at Samsara BioCapital, a life sciences venture capital firm he joined in 2017. In this role, he serves on the boards of several publicly traded portfolio companies, including Kalaris, Nkarta Therapeutics, and Sutro Biopharma. Previously, Dybbs spent seven years as a Partner at New Leaf Venture Partners from 2009 to 2016, where he directed investments and held board seats at firms such as Principia, which was acquired by Sanofi, and Advanced Cell Diagnostics, acquired by Bio-Techne. Before entering venture capital, he worked as a Principal in the healthcare practice at Boston Consulting Group and earned an A.B. from Harvard University alongside a PhD in molecular biology from UC Berkeley. His career focuses on financing and advising biotechnology companies across all development stages ranging from initial seed funding to public equities.
