Mike del Ponte

Mike del Ponte is the Managing Partner at Bee Partners in San Francisco, California. He oversees a portfolio backed by more than $300 million in assets under management, focusing on seed and pre-seed opportunities in enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and developer tools. Before joining Bee Partners, he spent a decade as a Co-founder and General Partner at Root Ventures after earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University. Throughout his career, he has led or co-led over 50 investments, contributing to more than 10 successful exits involving prominent technology companies such as Docker. Recently, he directed a 2025 seed investment in the coding platform Replit and joined the board of a new developer tools startup in early 2026. His current focus centers on identifying foundational infrastructure and hardware-software intersections across the broader technology industry.
