Mike Baur

Mike Baur is a General Partner at Serpentine Ventures based in Zurich, Switzerland. Before transitioning to venture capital, he spent his early career as a banker at UBS and later co-founded the Swiss Startup Factory, serving as its Chief Executive Officer from 2013 to 2016. Throughout his venture capital career, Baur has executed more than 50 personal investments and built a portfolio of over 20 companies at Serpentine Ventures, including startups such as Kry. In 2024, he helped raise a €50 million venture fund targeting climate technology and artificial intelligence, and he was appointed to the board of a Swiss financial technology unicorn in early 2026. Educated at the University of St. Gallen, his primary current focus remains on bridging traditional finance with early-stage European startups across the fintech, digital health, and enterprise software sectors.
