Miguel Santo Amaro

Miguel Santo Amaro is a Partner at Shilling VC, where he focuses on investing in and guiding early-stage technology startups. Prior to his current venture capital role, he operated as a serial entrepreneur and co-founded the student accommodation platform Uniplaces. He subsequently co-founded Coverflex, an employee benefits platform that successfully secured the largest pre-seed funding round in Portugal's history. Beyond his primary operational roles, Santo Amaro established the Entrepreneurs Organization Portugal and serves as a lead mentor at Techstars to advise and support emerging founders. He holds a Masters in Business in Global Entrepreneurship from Babson College and developed a global perspective by living across six countries in Europe, the United States, and Asia. His current investment focus targets early-stage opportunities across consumer marketplaces, B2B SaaS, financial technology, insurance technology, and D2C brands.
