Miguel Jordao

Miguel Jordao is the Chief Business Officer at Gardin Agritech and the Founder of Newland, a venture investment firm established in 2022. At Gardin, he oversees strategy and finance, having helped the agtech company scale from its inception to serve global agricultural customers and secure Europe's largest impact seed round. Through Newland and his five years of angel investing, Jordao focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage European food and agtech startups, building a portfolio that includes early investments in Heura and Allplants. Prior to his current roles, he spent approximately eight years in financial services spanning investing, business development, and institutional sales and trading. A CFA charterholder with an MBA from London Business School, Jordao leverages his decade of combined agriculture and finance experience to provide capital and strategic support to early-stage technology founders improving global food systems.
