Miguel Armaza is the Managing Partner at Citizens Ventures, the venture capital arm of Citizens Financial Group, based in New York City. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and began his institutional finance career with early roles at Goldman Sachs. Before transitioning to venture capital investing, Armaza founded PeerTransfer, an early financial technology startup that was subsequently acquired by Goldman Sachs in 2014. In his current capacity, he manages a portfolio of over 50 early-stage companies and recently directed a 2024 investment into the corporate spend management platform Ramp. Expanding his capital deployment capabilities, Armaza announced a new $150 million fundraise for Citizens Ventures in March 2026 to back emerging financial technologies.
