Miguel Arias

Miguel Arias is a General Partner at K Fund in Madrid, Spain, where he leads Leadwind, a $250 million early growth fund backing technology-enabled scale-ups. Before joining K Fund in 2021, he served as the Global Director of Entrepreneurship at Telefónica, overseeing the Wayra and Open Future initiatives and directing investments into more than 130 startups. Previously, Arias was the Chief Operating Officer at CARTO, helping scale the spatial data platform from its seed stage to securing over $100 million in venture funding. His entrepreneurial background includes co-founding IMASTE, which was later acquired by ON24, as well as establishing the pre-seed investment vehicle Vitamina K and the Madrid-based networking initiative Chamberí Valley. He currently focuses on deploying capital into early-stage and growth-stage enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and data analytics companies across Southern Europe and Latin America.
