Mick Halsband

Mick Halsband currently serves as the Founding Partner and Managing Partner at Lunar Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on the European market. In this capacity, he directs capital investments toward deep tech software startups and provides strategic operational support to technical founders navigating product development. Before transitioning to the venture capital sector, Halsband spent his career operating as a software engineer, systems architect, and chief technology officer. During his operational tenure, he designed and developed complex software infrastructure and enterprise products for both emerging technology startups and established corporate entities. Beyond his primary investment activities, he actively mentors underrepresented professionals within the technology industry, specifically focusing on advancing opportunities for women and people of color. Halsband currently leverages his extensive engineering background to identify, fund, and scale advanced software ventures across the European deep tech ecosystem.
