Michael Zhao

Michael Zhao is the Co-Founder of Vimcal, a productivity software company backed by Y Combinator. He established the technology startup during the Y Combinator Summer 2018 batch to develop calendar applications optimized for remote teams. Prior to founding Vimcal, Zhao served as a Product Manager at Microsoft from 2016 to 2018 and held Product Manager and Associate Product Manager titles at the gaming company Kabam between 2015 and 2016. His early career included finance roles as an Investment Banking Analyst at Vista Point Advisors in 2013 and a Financial Analyst at Oppenheimer and Co. in 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Environmental Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Zhao's background combines enterprise product management and financial analysis with a current focus on building high-speed scheduling tools for distributed workforces.
