Michael Yan

Michael Yan is the Co-founder of Simplify, a recruiting technology startup based in San Francisco, California. Originally from West Virginia, he established the company in 2021 to streamline the job application process for early-career candidates. Under his leadership, Simplify participated in the Y Combinator W21 batch and subsequently secured venture capital funding from prominent firms including Craft Ventures and Y Combinator. Prior to launching his current enterprise, Yan pursued higher education at Stanford University, where he studied computer science and developed the foundational architecture for the platform. The platform has since facilitated over two million job applications and expanded its user base to include hundreds of thousands of university students across the United States. His current focus remains on scaling Simplify's matching algorithms and expanding its enterprise partnerships within the human resources technology sector.
