Michael Wachsman

Michael Wachsman is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Alt-X, an artificial intelligence infrastructure startup focused on automating workflows for private-market investing. He holds a degree in computer science from Cornell University and previously worked as an infrastructure engineer, building complex systems around large-scale data processing before transitioning to the financial technology sector. Backed by Y Combinator and founded alongside alumni from Citadel and Stanford University, Alt-X develops automated financial modeling software designed to replace legacy Excel-based cash flow tools. Under his direct technical leadership, the platform currently supports institutional finance and commercial real estate clients managing hundreds of millions of dollars in total assets under management. As an executive, Wachsman currently focuses on engineering scalable AI systems that streamline complex financial data workflows and optimize quantitative modeling for alternative asset investors.
