Michael Sobeck

Michael Sobeck is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ambria Capital, a specialized investment firm focused on early-stage frontier industries and non-traditional venture capital opportunities. Since establishing the firm in 2018, he has directed its overall strategy, working alongside managing partner Cody Shandraw to back more than 50 companies within the emerging psychedelics sector. Sobeck brings more than 15 years of professional investment experience to his work evaluating mental health treatment applications and alternative therapeutics. Beyond his venture capital activities, he is the Co-founder of the Perception Restoration Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This institution funds awareness and clinical research for persisting perceptual disorders, including HPPD and Visual Snow Syndrome. Ultimately, Sobeck concentrates his capital allocation and advocacy efforts on advancing early-stage psychedelic medicines as viable clinical treatments for complex mental health conditions.
