Michael Silton

Michael Silton is a General Partner at Act One Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Los Angeles, California. Co-leading the firm alongside Alejandro Guerrero, he manages a 60-company portfolio and oversees $1 million to $3 million deployments into seven new startups annually from a $148 million capital pool. His investment strategy targets pre-seed and seed-stage companies across artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and fintech, with over 70% of investments led by women or underrepresented founders. Prior to Act One Ventures, Silton served as Executive Director of the UCLA Venture Capital Fund for three and a half years. His entrepreneurial background includes taking Rainmaker Systems public as CEO and co-founding UniDirect Systems before its acquisition by Avent. Silton currently focuses on backing AI-native enterprise platforms utilizing deep automation and strong data leverage.
