Michael Siefke

Dr. Michael Siefke is a Partner and Chair of Europe Private Equity at Bain Capital in Munich, Germany, where he also serves as Managing Director of the firm's regional advisory entity. Since joining the firm in 2001 and becoming a Partner in 2006, he has directed investments across the German-speaking regions and currently leads the global industrials vertical. He holds supervisory board positions at STADA Arzneimittel AG, which he joined in 2017, and Centrient Pharmaceuticals, while previously serving as a director for Fintyres Group Limited from 2017 to 2019. Before his tenure at Bain Capital, he worked as a Private Equity Manager at The Carlyle Group between 1998 and 2001 and earned a PhD summa cum laude and an MBA from Westfaelische-Wilhelms-University. His career centers on large-scale industrial buyouts and European private equity operations.
