Michael Painter

Michael Painter is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Plexus Capital, where he leads overall strategic direction and heads the internal investment committee. Bringing over 30 years of professional experience in commercial banking and private equity, he actively oversees deal sourcing initiatives and manages operations across the firm's portfolio companies. Before establishing Plexus Capital, Painter worked in investment banking for financial institutions and leveraged finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He previously held additional financial roles at RBC Bank through its Centura Capital division, alongside positions at Triangle Capital Partners and Endurance Capital Partners. He originally began his financial career in 1995 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. Today, Painter maintains a core professional focus on executing growth investments and structuring leveraged finance transactions.
