Michael Onghai

Michael Onghai is a Partner at Alpha Sigma Capital, a technology hedge fund focused on digital assets and blockchain networks. He established his technology background as the third employee at GeoCities, which was acquired by Yahoo for $3.5 billion, before serving as an early-stage operator and technology investor. Transitioning into fund management, he founded AppAddictive in 2011 and operated as President of Snowy August Management LLC, a specialized special situations investment vehicle. Onghai holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has built a portfolio of angel investments in prominent financial technology platforms, including Coinbase. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, alongside an Executive Management Certificate in Value Investing from Columbia Business School.
