Michael Norsen

Michael Norsen is the Principal of Science and Technology at Alexandria Venture Investments, the strategic venture capital arm of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. In this specific role, he specializes in directing institutional capital toward early-stage and growth-stage companies operating within the life sciences, agrifoodtech, and broader technology sectors. His active investment portfolio features several prominent biotechnology and genomics enterprises, including Adaptive Phage Therapeutics, Korro Bio, C2i Genomics, Alto Neuroscience, and Boundless Bio. Norsen is also directly involved in broader ecosystem development initiatives across the industry. He notably participated in the June 2022 launch of the Alexandria LaunchLabs incubator at Columbia University to accelerate the commercialization of translational science.
