Michael Morgan

Michael Morgan is the Co-Founding Partner and Chairman of Triangle Peak Partners and the President and CEO of Portcullis Partners LP, based in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. He joined Kinder Morgan at its founding in 1997, where he led corporate development for over $5 billion in acquisitions before serving as President until 2004. Morgan subsequently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Triangle Peak Partners from 2008 to 2022, managing growth-stage venture and private equity investments across multiple funds. He currently serves as the Lead Independent Director for Kinder Morgan and holds board positions at Stem and SP+ Infra, following prior directorships at Sunnova Energy and Star Peak Energy Transition Corp. Holding three degrees from Stanford University, Morgan maintains a primary focus on growth-stage investments and corporate governance within the technology, clean tech, and energy infrastructure sectors.
