Michael Miller

Michael Miller is currently a Managing Partner at Liquid 2 Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. A former particle physicist and distributed systems developer affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he initially transitioned into the commercial technology sector as a startup entrepreneur. Miller co-founded Cloudant, a NoSQL database company that scaled its enterprise infrastructure solutions globally before being acquired by IBM in 2014. At Liquid 2 Ventures, he now leverages his extensive technical background to direct capital investments, primarily targeting early-stage startups operating within the hard tech, digital infrastructure, and developer tooling sectors. Outside of his professional investment activities, he is an avid bluewater sailor and a dedicated father to two sets of twins. Today, Miller remains focused on utilizing his deep scientific expertise to identify and support founders building complex foundational enterprise technologies.
