Michael McFadgen

Michael McFadgen is a Partner and Co-founder at 13books Capital, a venture capital firm formerly known as Element Ventures, based in London, United Kingdom. He established the investment vehicle alongside partners Stephen Gibson and Spencer Lake in 2019 to focus exclusively on B2B financial technology startups. Under his strategic direction, the firm raised a $130 million fund in 2021 with plans to allocate capital across approximately fifteen early-stage companies. His active portfolio features several prominent European technology enterprises, including digital insurance provider Hepster, payment platform Billhop, crypto security firm Coincover, and Minna Technologies.
