Michael Malis

Michael Malis is a Founder at Freshpaint, a B2B infrastructure company based in San Francisco, California. At Freshpaint, an enterprise software organization that currently employs approximately 100 people and originated from a Summer 2019 startup cohort, he actively drives corporate strategy, operational scaling, and process execution. Prior to establishing his current venture, Malis joined the product analytics platform Heap in 2015 immediately following his high school graduation. During his tenure there, he led the database engineering team and successfully scaled the company's Postgres database clusters to manage approximately one petabyte of customer data. His consistent delivery of major performance improvements and significant cost reduction projects earned him the internal moniker Michael Margins. Today, his primary professional focus remains on building scalable B2B SaaS infrastructure and optimizing complex data analytics systems for large enterprise clients.
