Michael Hock

Michael Hock is a Partner on the Venture Investment team at Motive Partners, based in Berlin, Germany. He assumed this role following Motive Partners' acquisition of Embedded Capital, an early-stage fintech investment firm he co-founded, in February 2023. Previously, Hock served as Managing Director at FinLeap starting in 2017, where he steered portfolio growth and led notable exits, including the sale of Penta to Qonto and the majority acquisition of PAIR Finance by Pollen Street Capital. His earlier career includes Managing Director positions at Holtzbrinck Digital and Digital Science, as well as corporate finance and venture capital roles at Siemens beginning in 2000. He holds an Executive MBA from the Technical University of Munich. Hock currently focuses on sourcing and executing pre-seed through Series B investments across the fintech, Web3, and enterprise SaaS sectors.
