Michael Hendershot

Michael Hendershot is the General Counsel and Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution at Nielsen. During his eight-year executive tenure at the media research firm, he established and currently leads the internal team responsible for managing all corporate disputes, including contract, antitrust, bankruptcy, labor, and intellectual property matters. Before joining Nielsen, he practiced complex intellectual property and general litigation at Goldberg Kohn and handled trademark disputes at Brinks Gilson & Lione, which is now part of Crowell & Moring. Hendershot initially leveraged his science background from The Ohio State University to pass the patent bar, focusing early in his career on biotechnology patent litigation before transitioning to soft intellectual property. His current focus centers on overseeing global legal operations, vendor management, and comprehensive dispute resolution strategies for a multinational media data and analytics corporation.
