Michael Chu is a biomedical engineer whose current professional role and geographic location are not publicly disclosed. He earned a doctorate in biomedical engineering from the University of California, Irvine, where he conducted extensive research as a member of Dr. Michelle Khine’s laboratory. During his academic tenure, Chu specialized in the engineering and development of soft wearable sensors specifically designed for the continuous, noninvasive monitoring of human vital signs. His doctoral dissertation research directly established the foundational sensor technology that is currently utilized by the medical device startup Makani Science. As an academic researcher, he has co-authored more than 10 peer-reviewed scientific papers and is listed as an inventor on three patents submitted through his university laboratory. Chu maintains a specialized technical background focused on advancing noninvasive physiologic monitoring systems and next-generation wearable health technologies.
