Michael Baptista

Michael Baptista is the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Assembly Capital Partners Ltd., a venture capital firm based in London, United Kingdom. Since establishing the firm in 2018, he has directed its investments in early-stage B2B financial technology and insurtech startups, including leading funding rounds for companies such as Instanda. Concurrently, he serves as a director at the insurance software platform F2x Group Ltd. Prior to transitioning into venture capital, Baptista spent decades in investment banking, notably serving as the Global Head of Research at UniCredit Bank AG from 2011 to 2015. He previously held equivalent Head of Research titles at major financial institutions including Credit Suisse Securities and ABN AMRO Asia Ltd.
