Michael Antonov

Michael Antonov is the Co-founder of Formic Ventures and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Deep Origin, a company applying software to biology. Previously, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Software Architect at Oculus, a virtual reality technology company that was subsequently acquired by Facebook. Before his tenure at Oculus, Antonov was the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Scaleform, where he engineered user interface software that was successfully embedded into hundreds of commercial video games. Through Formic Ventures, he currently directs early-stage venture capital investments toward biotechnology startups dedicated to addressing human aging, treating age-related diseases, and expanding the overall human lifespan. Raised in post-Soviet Russia by a family of biologists, Antonov now leverages his extensive software engineering background to advance computational biology, longevity research, and the broader life sciences sector.
