Meyer "Micky" Malka

Meyer "Micky" Malka is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ribbit Capital, a venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. The Venezuelan entrepreneur developed Patagon, Latin America’s first online financial services portal, which Banco Santander acquired for $750 million in 1998. He later co-founded additional financial technology startups including Lemon, which LifeLock acquired in 2013, and Banco Bracce, which was sold in 2015. Since establishing Ribbit Capital in 2012, Malka has directed early and growth-stage investments into prominent fintech companies such as Robinhood, Coinbase, Credit Karma, and Nubank. The firm has raised multiple venture funds, accumulating $446 million by 2015, and recently partnered with Walmart to launch the fintech startup One, reaching a $2.5 billion valuation in 2024. Malka maintains a dedicated focus on funding early-stage global technology companies that modernize traditional financial services.
