Mercedes Chatfield-Taylor is the Co-founder and CEO of Artico Search, an executive recruitment firm based in San Francisco, California. In this role, she operates as a primary talent partner for venture capital and growth equity firms, having successfully completed over 75 chief executive officer searches and numerous CXO-level assignments for their portfolio companies. Before establishing Artico Search, she held senior leadership positions where she directed the venture capital and private equity practices at major global search firms Caldwell Partners and Heidrick & Struggles. Her extensive career in executive recruitment initially began when she co-founded the boutique search agency iCOM in 1999, shortly after earning her undergraduate degree from Boston University. Chatfield-Taylor maintains a specialized focus on constructing high-performing executive teams for top global investors, emphasizing diversity and inclusion across both critical investor and operational leadership roles.
