Mel Firmin

Mel Firmin is a New Zealand-based board advisor and investor with over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector. He previously served as Managing Director of Devon Funds Management Limited from 2012 to 2017 and as Chief Operating Officer of Brook Asset Management Limited between 2002 and 2010. Firmin also held the position of Interim Chief Executive at Investment Services Group Limited from 2017 to 2018, where he currently acts as the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Chairman. In early 2020, he was appointed to the board of NZ Growth Capital Partners, later retiring to focus on other ventures, and he presently serves as an advisory board member for Thinkladder. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree, his current focus centers on venture capital, investment governance, and mentoring emerging talent within the funds management industry.
