Meghan Sharp

Dr. Meghan Sharp is the Global Head and Chief Investment Officer at Decarbonization Partners, based in San Francisco, USA. In this capacity, she chairs the investment committee, sets the overall strategic vision for the firm's funds, and oversees a global team of more than 30 investment professionals. Prior to her current position, Sharp served as the Global Head of BP Ventures, where she directed capital toward advanced mobility, bio products, power storage, and carbon management technologies. She also previously worked as the Chief Operating Officer of the artificial intelligence company Beyond Limits and earned her MBA degree from Columbia Business School. Holding a PhD in Microbial Genetics from the University of California, San Francisco, Sharp combines her scientific background with financial expertise to drive venture capital strategies focused on the global energy transition and climate technology.
