Meera Oak

Meera Oak is a Principal at Alumni Ventures, where she focuses on investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure across the agent, compute, and data layers. Prior to her venture capital career, she held product leadership roles developing cloud-based enterprise resource planning systems, providing her with technical experience in platform transitions. Oak targets startups building the next enterprise software stack, seeking foundational technologies comparable to the early infrastructure developed by AWS and Salesforce. Her investment portfolio includes the open-source cloud coding platform OpenHands, GPU kernel optimization startup Standard Kernel, and Atero, a GPU optimization company that was recently acquired by Crusoe. She has also backed frontier model researcher Fundamental Research Labs and AI-native video infrastructure developer Vamana. Oak currently concentrates on funding intelligent orchestration platforms and operating systems designed to support mixed human and artificial intelligence teams.
