May Samali

May Samali is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Human Leadership Lab, operating out of the San Francisco Bay Area. She began her career in 2012 as a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills before transitioning into venture capital and urban innovation. Samali previously served as a Director at the urban accelerator Tumml and was the first employee and investor at the Urban Innovation Fund between 2016 and 2018. Prior to launching her current firm in 2020, she held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Ventures at High Resolves Group. She holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she was a Gleitsman Leadership Fellow, alongside economics and law degrees from the University of Sydney. Her professional background centers on leadership development, impact investing, and scaling social entrepreneurship initiatives.
