Maxim Spiridonov

Maxim Spiridonov is the Managing Partner at 42CAP, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Berlin, Germany. Before joining the firm in 2023, he co-founded and led investments at Runa Capital following his education at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Throughout his career, Spiridonov has executed over 50 investments and managed funds with more than $100 million in assets under management, including involvement in the 2019 acquisition of Avito by Kismet Capital. His recent transaction history includes leading a 2024 Series B investment in the European artificial intelligence startup Synthesia, and he frequently engages with networks like Y Combinator.
