Maxine Kozler

Maxine Kozler is the Co-Managing Director of LDR Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Los Angeles, California. Before co-founding the investment firm in 2013, she launched and directed public relations and social media operations for the consumer toy manufacturer Melissa and Doug. Kozler initiated her private market investing career as an angel investor in 2010, making her first capital allocation to the fast-casual restaurant chain sweetgreen. Through LDR Ventures, she has subsequently financed and mentored several prominent consumer and wellness brands, including the recovery technology company Hyperice and the e-commerce retailer Thrive Market. In addition to her portfolio management duties, she regularly hosts educational events designed to mobilize new female angel investors. Kozler currently focuses her capital deployment on early-stage consumer products, technology platforms, and sustainability initiatives led by women and underrepresented founders.
