Max-Julian Kaye

Max-Julian Kaye is a Principal at Battery Ventures based in Boston, Massachusetts, where he specializes in late-stage technology investments. Since joining the global technology investment firm in 2014, he has contributed to an institutional platform that has raised over $13 billion across 14 fund families and backed more than 450 companies over its 40-year history. Promoted to his current position in July 2023, Kaye executes complex growth-equity deals, corporate buyouts, industry rollups, and take-private transactions. Prior to his tenure at Battery Ventures, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of IDEA, the venture accelerator program at Northeastern University. He holds a degree in finance and economics from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. Today, his investment focus is primarily centered on evaluating scalable assets across the enterprise software, industrial technology, and life science tools sectors.
