Max Berthelot

Max Berthelot is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lucis, a preventive healthcare technology startup based in Paris, France. Backed by Y Combinator and General Catalyst, he established the company in 2025 alongside co-founders Baptiste Debever and Max Guerois to provide AI-driven analysis of over 180 blood biomarkers. Under his leadership, the platform has processed more than 500,000 clinical tests through an integrated European network of 400 laboratory partners. Berthelot recently secured a €7.2 million Seed funding round to finance international expansion, growing the enterprise to 17 employees and reaching over 5,000 active users across France, Portugal, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. His current focus centers on scaling this personalized health infrastructure to extend human healthspan, drawing upon his decade-long background in personal biohacking, longevity research, and clinical biomarker tracking.
