Max Altman

Max Altman is the Co-founder and Managing Partner at Saga Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas. Before launching his current firm alongside former Flexport executive Ben Braverman and Thomson Nguyen, he built the investment vehicle Alt Capital with his brothers Sam Altman and Jack Altman. At Saga Ventures, he focuses on pre-seed and seed investments across sectors including artificial intelligence, financial technology, space, and enterprise software. His recent early-stage investment activity includes participating in a $46 million funding round for Campus in 2025, a $4 million round for Profound in 2024, and multiple financing rounds totaling $54 million for Slope between 2022 and 2023. Altman leverages his extensive entrepreneurial experience within the San Francisco and Austin technology ecosystems to back founders building foundational infrastructure, mobility solutions, and advanced manufacturing platforms.
