Maurizio Caio

Maurizio Caio is the Founder and Managing Partner of TLcom Capital LLP, based in Nairobi, Kenya. With over two decades of experience in technology investments, he previously served as a Director at Bain and Company, where he led the EMEA Telecom and Technology practice, and worked as a consultant at McKinsey and Company. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a summa cum laude degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University. Caio currently represents TLcom Capital on the boards of several African technology startups, including Twiga Foods, Pula, Shara, and Littlefish. Additionally, he teaches business strategy and venture capital courses at the Nigeria University of Technology and Management and Ashesi University. His current professional focus centers on scaling early-stage technology ventures and developing the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
