Matthew Schwab

Matthew Schwab is the San Francisco-based Co-Founder of Ancient Ritual and a Partner at Zurich Investment Company. Prior to his current executive roles, he began his professional career working as an advertising executive at Media Arts Lab, the dedicated brand agency for Apple. Schwab formally transitioned into the technology sector in 2013 when he and his former college roommate, David Bladow, co-founded the on-demand floral delivery service BloomThat. The consumer startup participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2013 batch, which helped the founders secure a $3.6 million seed round and a subsequent $4 million Series A financing. BloomThat scaled its national delivery operations over the next several years before ultimately being acquired by the floral industry giant FTD. Today, Schwab maintains a dual focus on developing new consumer experience startups and directing early-stage venture investments.
