Matthew Rhodes-Kropf

Matthew Rhodes-Kropf is a Managing Partner at Tectonic Ventures and a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Over a career spanning nearly 30 years, he has combined academic instruction with practical investment experience, previously teaching entrepreneurship and venture capital at Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School. In the corporate sector, Rhodes-Kropf served as the Chief Financial Officer of Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, where he facilitated the launch of the first Alzheimer's imaging agent, and operated as the Chief Operating Officer of a multi-strategy hedge fund. He also advised on the formation of Correlation Ventures and has backed numerous technology and healthcare startups, including portfolio investments in Rackspace, Simbe Robotics, and Forta Health. His current professional focus centers on early-stage venture capital allocation and innovation financing across the biotechnology, quantitative finance, and robotics sectors.
