Matthew Jones

Matthew Jones is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Pharos, an early-stage healthcare information technology startup based in the United States. He established the company of three employees in 2024 and participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 cohort, subsequently securing an oversubscribed $5 million seed funding round led by Felicis in October 2024. Prior to launching Pharos, Jones worked at Vital.io, where he deployed predictive artificial intelligence systems into more than 70 hospitals and integrated them with existing electronic health records. His earlier career includes serving on the founding team of Market2x, a rural trucking marketplace that he helped scale internationally, as well as contributing to the Orion Health electronic health record platform. His current focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to automate hospital quality reporting and improve patient safety outcomes across the healthcare sector.
