Matthew Hobson

Matthew Hobson is a Principal at Catalio Capital Management LP based in New York, New York. Joining the investment firm at its founding in 2020, he covers investments in therapeutics and diagnostics across both venture capital and private credit strategies. Hobson currently holds a board seat at Lassen Therapeutics and serves as a board observer for Anagenex, Iambic Therapeutics, Octant Therapeutics, and Pink Dx. Prior to his venture capital career, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he also earned his doctorate in biophysics and biophysical chemistry. He previously received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and physics from Emory University. Hobson's current focus centers on applying his deep academic background in DNA replication and repair proteins to evaluate emerging biotechnology and life sciences investments.
