Matthew Hamilton

Matthew Hamilton is a Managing Director at Summit Partners based in Boston, where he jointly leads the Financial Services and Technology Group. Since joining the global growth equity firm in 2005, he has led or significantly contributed to 12 investments representing over one and a half billion dollars in deployed capital. His current investment portfolio and board experience feature recognizable entities like publicly traded AKA Brands, alongside private companies such as RWA Wealth Partners, Snap Finance, and Solo Brands, where he has served as chairman since October 2020. Hamilton focuses on growth stage products and services companies, bringing specialized expertise to consumer ecommerce, financial technology, and wealth management platforms. Before his tenure at Summit Partners, he worked in the United States Senate for Senator Olympia Snowe and earned a BA in economics, summa cum laude, from Colby College.
