Matthew Greenfield is the Managing Partner at Rethink Education and the Chairman and Founder of Stonework Capital. Before entering the investment sector, he earned a PhD, MA, and BA in English from Yale University and served as an Assistant and Associate Professor at The City University of New York and Bowdoin College. Transitioning from academia to the technology sector, Greenfield co-founded Rethink Autism and held early marketing and venture roles at DB Software and ABS Ventures. He currently maintains an active portfolio of board positions across more than ten education technology organizations, including NoRedInk, Major League Hacking, and CareAcademy, while also serving as a Trustee at Southern New Hampshire University. His current professional focus centers on education venture capital, improving K-12 learning outcomes, and driving specialized education and curriculum innovation across the broader learning technology ecosystem.
