Matthew Bressler

Matthew Bressler is a General Partner at 8VC based in San Francisco, California, where he focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and frontier technology. Before joining 8VC's investment committee in the first quarter of 2023, he served as a Partner at Thrive Capital from 2018 to 2022 and held earlier investment roles at Benchmark and Founders Fund. At 8VC, a venture firm managing over $10 billion in assets, Bressler has built a portfolio of more than 30 companies, including notable investments in Perplexity AI, Shield AI, and Harvey.
