Matteo Colombo

Matteo Colombo is the ESG Team Manager and Research and Innovation Lead at NEVA SGR, based in Milan, Italy. He brings over 30 years of technology sector experience, having joined the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in 2003 to work across cybersecurity, corporate functions, and research. Prior to his current position, Colombo held multiple leadership roles at the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, serving as Head of the Observatory and Incubator of Innovation from 2016 to 2018, Director of the Competence Center, and Director of Innovation R&D. Since transitioning to NEVA SGR in July 2019, he has managed ESG operations and expert networks for investment vehicles including the Neva First and Neva II funds. His current focus centers on integrating ESG criteria into venture capital evaluations while leveraging his extensive background in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
