Matt Patterson

Matt Patterson is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Brickyard, an early-stage venture capital firm and startup incubator based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prior to establishing Brickyard, he co-founded Bellhop, a technology-enabled consumer moving service that successfully grew to operate in more than 80 cities across the United States. During his extended tenure as a senior executive at Bellhop, Patterson helped secure over $100 million in venture capital funding from prominent investment firms, including Canaan Partners and Lowercase Capital. Through Brickyard, he currently manages a $17 million inaugural fund designed to support early-stage founders by providing initial seed capital alongside mandatory relocation to their dedicated physical workspace. His professional focus centers on leveraging his direct operational experience in scaling consumer technology platforms to identify, fund, and accelerate high-growth startups operating outside of traditional coastal technology hubs.
